Through her socially engaged practice Ciara explores the importance of diverse and engaging community led arts projects, community ownership and accessible and inclusive communication. She is interested in themes of place making and belonging; potential and empowerment.
In her studio based practice Ciara explores the role of heritage craft in contemporary culture, feminism and the interrelation between object and owner.
Ciara is an associate artist at MK Gallery and the Milton Keynes Art Centre. Her work has been exhibited at MK Gallery, The New Earth Art School and The Barbican Centre.
